Syngas conversion into light hydrocarbons over bifunctional catalyst: Effect of the density of contact between Cu-ZnO-Al2O3 and SAPO-34

A series of hybrid catalysts with different catalytic bed dispositions (layer and simple random mixture) Cu-ZnO-Al2O3 SAPO-34 have been adopted evaluated in syngas conversion into light C2-C4 hydrocarbons. An effect the proximity between two solids on CO hydrogenation activity was demonstrated. sphere contact quantification model developed to estimate concentration them for any mixture. Comparing evolution gain (or hydrocarbon yield) theoretical results, it shown that density identified as key factor performances (contact-activity relationship). Finally, knowledge morphology, determined by FEG-SEM, allowed proposing NH3-TPD method characterizing contact.
